Counseling Services for Children, Teens, and Women
Sometimes you know exactly what is wrong. Other times, you simply know that something doesn’t feel right.
How I can Help
I work with children, adolescents, and women who may be experiencing:
Anxiety and worry
Depression
ADHD
Grief and loss
Trauma
Behavioral concerns
Difficulty managing emotions
Stress and feeling overwhelmed
Relationship concerns
Life transitions
Self-esteem and confidence concerns
Therapy is tailored to the needs of each client. We’ll work together to understand what is going on, identify what you would like to change, and develop practical ways to help you move forward.
Services
Child Therapy
Children don’t always have the words to explain what they’re feeling. Sometimes their emotions show up through worry, frustration, changes in behavior, difficulty at school, or problems at home.
I work with children to help them understand and express their emotions, develop coping skills, and build confidence. Depending on your child’s age and needs, sessions may include Play Therapy techniques, creative activities, conversation, and skill building.
Adolescent Therapy
Being a teenager can be complicated. School, friendships, family relationships, expectations, and figuring out who you are can all become overwhelming.
Therapy gives adolescents a place to talk openly about what they’re experiencing without feeling judged. I work with teens experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, stress, and other emotional challenges. Together, we work on understanding what they’re feeling and developing healthier ways to cope and move forward.
Therapy for Women
There are seasons of life when you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own.
I work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, stress, trauma, and life transitions. Therapy provides a place to slow down, talk honestly about what you’re going through, and begin working toward meaningful change.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and able to be honest about what you’re experiencing. My style is warm and conversational, but I also want our time together to be useful. Therapy isn’t just about talking through what is difficult—it’s also about gaining insight, learning new skills, and finding ways to make things feel more manageable.
I don’t use the exact same approach with every client. Some people need practical tools for managing anxiety or difficult emotions. Others need space to process something painful, understand patterns in their lives, or work through experiences from the past.
With children, therapy often looks different. Play, creativity, and age-appropriate activities can give children ways to communicate feelings and experiences they may not yet know how to put into words.
Depending on your needs, I may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches.
Christian Counseling
For clients who would like their faith to be part of therapy, I offer Christian counseling and am comfortable incorporating a biblical perspective into our work together.
Faith can be an important part of how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the difficult seasons we experience. When desired, we can make space for those conversations as part of the counseling process.
How much we incorporate faith is completely up to you. Some clients want their Christian beliefs to be an active part of therapy, while others prefer a more traditional counseling approach.
You do not have to be a Christian to work with me. I welcome clients from different backgrounds and beliefs and will always respect what is important to you.
